Roots to Rise supports care experienced young people as they move toward adult life. Through monthly gatherings, weekly check-ins, and seasonal residential camps, participants grow a strong sense of belonging, relational resilience, and self-trust, grounded in experiential, reflective, and nature-based practice.
What to expect
Each cohort is small and held by facilitators trained in trauma-informed, nature-based practice. The programme unfolds across the year, weaving together:
- Monthly in-person gatherings on the land
- Weekly check-ins that keep connection alive between gatherings
- Seasonal residential camps at Field of Possibility near Totnes
- 1:1 mentoring available alongside the group work
Who it's for
Care experienced young people aged 16 to 17, preparing for the transition out of care. Local authorities, children's services teams, and leaving-care teams are warmly invited to get in touch about commissioning or co-designing a cohort for the young people they support.
