Our commitment
The Gathering Ground CIC is committed to making gatheringgroundcic.co.uk accessible in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, and to our obligations under the Equality Act 2010.
What we’ve done
- Semantic HTML with a single <h1> per page and logical heading structure
- A “Skip to main content” link for keyboard and screen reader users
- Alternative text on all meaningful images; decorative images are hidden from assistive tech
- Keyboard-navigable menus, including the mobile overlay
- Responsive layouts that work from small phones up to wide desktop screens
- Respecting the user’s operating system preferences (fonts, dark / light, reduced motion where possible)
- Colour contrast considered against cream and sage tones to stay legible
Known limitations
We are a small team and the site is continuously evolving. If you encounter a barrier that stops you using any part of the site, please tell us — we want to fix it.
How to report an issue
Email hello@gatheringgroundcic.co.uk with a short description of the problem, the page it happened on, and (if you can) the device and browser you’re using. We aim to respond within 10 working days.
