Field of Possibility, Totnes

We're excited to announce our first professional development weekend, in partnership with Field of Possibility. This nature-based, restorative retreat is designed for staff working with care-experienced young people in social care settings.

The weekend offers guided reflection, group exploration and time in nature to support resilience, wellbeing and empowering practice. Facilitated by our own Kirstien Bjerregaard and Lucy Reynolds, with places limited to just 12 delegates.

A Thousand Wild Dawns

Our sold-out launch event was an unforgettable evening at the beautiful Sandridge Barton Wines in the Dart Valley. BAFTA and Emmy Award winning wildlife cameraman and patron Ian McCarthy took a captivated audience behind the lens of some of the world's most iconic nature documentaries, sharing stories that were funny, gripping, and deeply moving.

Guests enjoyed an evening of wine, stunning wildlife photography, and inspiring conversation, all in support of launching The Gathering Ground CIC and our nature-based wellbeing programmes for the care experienced community.

"I have spent my life in wild places amongst extraordinary creatures, from tropical rainforest and open ocean to Arctic sea ice and desert dunes. In this talk I will share experiences from time spent in wilderness amongst wild creatures large and small and how that changed my life."

A huge thank you to everyone who came, to Sandridge Barton Wines for hosting us, and to Ian and Anne McCarthy for their incredible generosity. The funds raised will help us kick-start our programmes and begin making a real difference.
